Eucalyptus, Lemon Gum

'Lemon Gum' eucalyptus an evergreen, fast growing tree up to 100 feet tall. The trunk is slender with an airy canopy. The bark color can be white-ish to pinkish-tan, which tends to peel and the leaves are shaped a pendant, light green. Is great for drought tolerant landscapes requiring little to moderate water. Blooms very small, creamy white flowers in winter, followed by urn-shaped seed capsules. Propagation: seeds / Likes full sun.

The oil of 'Lemon Gum' eucalyptus is used as an essential oil in aromatherapy. It's camphor-like scent is very strong and known to help open sinuses. Also used in massage creams, hair products and candle fragrances.
